A Warm Welcome
UKCP and Bupa Registered Psychotherapist, I have over 12 years experience working in the field of personal development. I work with men, women, couples and groups. I have worked within busy doctors surgeries, private practice, corporate settings and schools. My client base has covered high functioning individuals, vulnerable adults, corporates, children with additional needs and teenagers not in employment or education (NEETS). My clinic is situated in a quiet rural setting, which often helps to bring a sense of stillness and calm to the therapeutic process from the beginning.
My approach to the Psychotherapeutic process involves both the use of traditional talking therapy which is room-based, and experiential therapy involving horses.
Unless you request otherwise, your first session will normally start with traditional talking therapy, as a way for us to get to know each other and co-create a treatment plan going forward.
There may be times during your therapeutic journey, however, where using personal encounters with horses will facilitate a more embodied approach, allowing you to move through particularly difficult issues, where simply talking about the issue might be less effective. I work with both modalities, weaving in what is appropriate and right for you.
